Breathtaking live-action footage, coupled with word-for-word Scripture from the four Gospels, LUMO paints an authentic portrait of the life of Christ. Redefining the standard of biblical media, LUMO is a visual translation of the four Gospels designed to deeply engage people with Scripture. Watch a portion of the 1,000th LUMO film release here: Gospel of Luke in Senga. By combining FCBH Audio Bibles with LUMO visuals, together we were able to go from a few dozen languages to more than 1,000!" "I'm continually amazed at the power of partnership. "We rejoice with LUMO and translation partners in reaching this milestone so quickly," said Jonathan Huguenin, vice president of Global Partnerships and Language Recording for Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH). It is through this amazing partnership that millions of people can engage with Scripture by watching God's Word unfold in their own language," said Tessie DeVore, president of BMG. And we would not have been able to fulfill Hannah's dream without our partnership with Faith Comes By Hearing. We know that to accomplish our mission and vision, we need to walk side by side with likeminded ministries. "We believe what we do is by the Kingdom for the Kingdom. LUMO is distributed by Bible Media Group (BMG) to resource ministries seeking to promote global biblical literacy. I dreamt that we could reach 1,000 languages – with a lot of help and a lot of faith and in God's good time we have achieved that goal – I am overwhelmed with joy," Leader said. "Over ten years ago I dreamt of producing a filmed version of the Gospels that would be accessible and transformative for people throughout the world by the simple expedient of using the Bible translations as the soundtrack so everyone can see and hear the Gospels in their mother tongue. Hannah Leader, the creator of LUMO, produced these four stunning films so that anyone, anywhere in the world could fully experience the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in visual form. 17, 2022 / Standard Newswire/ - LUMO, the groundbreaking, multi-language biblical resource created to transform the way in which people engage, discover, and study the life of Jesus through the Gospels, has reached an unprecedented milestone in record time: available in more than 1,000 languages. ![]() Note that allophonic variation is not a big deal, but anything that affects meaning or is a difference from the Byzantine text should be addressed.įor more info (and the PDF of the Byzantine text you should use to review a chapter), see here:Īll you would need to do to help this review process is the following:ġ) Download the PDF of the Byzantine text from my website aboveĢ) Listen to a chapter of Mark (also on my website KaineDiatheke.Bible Media Group announces LUMO, the Gospels for the visual age, has been produced in the heart language of millions of people in less than 5 years Every chapter review you do is a great help to this process and ensuring the highest quality. I would really appreciate it if anyone on B-Greek who has the time would be willing to review a chapter (or more!) and let me know if you find any mistakes or if it is all correct. Once the review process is done (within the next month or so), God-willing I will pass it on to them and then once they are done editing we will be able to see the first Gospel film in Koine Greek with a Living Koine pronunciation! I am now in the stage where I am asking different people to review my recording of Mark before I pass it on to FCBH to edit it into the film. I am really excited to let you know that I am partnering with Faith Comes by Hearing (as an affiliate of the Lumo Project) to help make a Koine Greek version of the Gospel of Mark film. I have a favor to ask the B-Greek community.
